Hello Paton family.
I'm so needy. I want every one to like me, at the same time I'm so shy. I'm scared that people might not like me. I know this is normal so I 'm not looking for a moral boost. I'm just putting it out there.
This next bit is hard to explain if I was good at analogies I would probably use one...here. I want everyone I know to be my blog friend so that I can have a Friends Blogs roll over on the side that was as big as my family one. BUT I don't want to tell any one I know about my blog just in case they think I'm weird/pretentious/self centred/crazy to name a few possibilities.
Thank you Kris for saying hello to me today. You are my new BF (blog friend).

Dee, if you are looking for validation you might want to think about checking out the self help section at the book store .. love youxx
How's a book going to validate me? It's not like the more books I have the less lonely I am. More likely the more books I have the more lonely I am.
i have told very few friends that i have a blog site.
i've kept it kind of quiet since most of them would be in my ward, and i thought if "friends" were viewing my posts then i might feel like i had to modify, or watch what i was saying - i wasn't sure i wanted them to get to know me that well...
...well that, and i have always had a phobia about throwing a party - the whole what-if-nobody-comes-syndrome! thru my warped stream of logic i figure that blogging is just an internet party - i could send the invitations...but what if no-one shows!!!
the whole "nothing ventured, nothing gained" senario is lost on me - i like my comfort zone a little to much!
Hi Dee!
I used to be very paranoid about what I wrote on my blog, but I'm over it now. I really enjoy writing and re-reading my posts. (I know, it's pretty sad! I think it's called self-absorbtion, but it's the reason why you never have to worry about what others think of you! Most people are too busy worrying about themselves to worry about you!)
In this big family you are well validated Dee...you come from very crazy stock...pioneers in a lot of ventures (the gospel, leaving Ireland, leaving Australia, having LOTS of kids) and many who thought/think we are nuts....but they want to be just like us too...go figure! The politically correct name for a pioneer today
is "entrepreneur" and you are the best, so have a ball, throw a party and all the other nuts will be attracted to you...like we are!
Love ya...A/di
We are human beings, we are inherently needy, otherwise the wolves would devour us the day we were born. (Okay that was a little graphic anyway...) I could wax philosophical, or start quoting scriptures about candles and baskets, but I won't. I will just say this: we are born because we need people and people need us. I have yet to read a blog that didn't make me laugh, feel homesick, or feel just plain warm and gooey inside. You know you are wonderful, share the wealth!
